RDNS- How to Set Up a Reverse DNS

I have an inquiry from a client of mine and if some1 can shed some light on these questions that would be great!

Can rdns be set from a client's server?
Will it point to one IP?
Can the ip's allocated to one server all have separate RDNS?

RDNS can't be set from a client's server. But it can be set on a server's IP address & this needs to be done from the network operation center.

Yes, this can be made possible, but the exact reason to have this special customised request must be specified.

I think it is a good idea to always point the name of the server to the primary IP for rdns... Can a sub domain be used for rdns?

Yes, a sub-domain can be used for rdns, however, it should resolve to that IP.
