Thank you very much for your support in advance.

Before I go with any hosting services provider I want to know about some of basic information like, what is domain parking? What is virtual web hosting? How do I pay for web hosting?

Thanks,
Smith

You are most welcome

I have all your questions below
Quote:
what is domain parking?
Domain parking refers to the registration of an internet domain name without that domain being associated with any services such as e-mail or a website. Many hosting companies give you the option to 'park' your domain name without actually having your web site up and running. This is a nice option if you want to acquire a domain name for your web site well ahead of having the web site itself designed and constructed.
Quote:
What is virtual web hosting?
A virtual private server (VPS, also referred to as Virtual Dedicated Server or VDS) is a method of partitioning a physical server computer into multiple servers such that each has the appearance and capabilities of running on its own dedicated machine. Each virtual server can run its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted.

How do I pay for web hosting?
WHUK accepts payments through payment gateways like Google Checkout, Paypal, Moneybookers & Bank Transfer. You can refer to the below link for more details.

Thanks,
Indeed my Friend. Virtual Hosting is much more secure than shared hosting. You would experience a dedicated like environment with a VPS. With a VPS you get separate resources. There is a latest technology known as Hyper V which is provided by WHUK. Hyper V is more secure than normal VPS as it has hardware that is virtualized.
But, Hyper V isn't as flexible as a normal VPS plus you need to manage your own account without a control panel.

Yes, you can have a shopping cart site on a VPS.

As a matter of fact, if your main concern is security, then you should go for a dedicated server. If your site involves cash transactions then you should install SSL certificate onto your domain.

Better get in touch with your web host for better assistance.

Judging by the amount of questions I think the OP would be well advised to go with a third party provider of merchant services, e.g. Secpay or Worldpay. Payment then goes through their own secure systems and a certificate is not required.

Can you please elaborate in detail on
" Payment then goes through their own secure systems and a certificate is not required "
I am not aware of the way for getting secure transaction without using SSL certificates.

I mean the shopping cart does not need to be secure, only the payment gateway. In other words the user does not need SSL but of course the provider of the payment service will have it.
