Thumbs down Suspended server third party website buisness lost

Hi,
I recently purchased an online booking system to integrate into my new website so customers could book appointments online. The company set up my web address, domain, Email and a server provider to upload everything onto. Everything worked fine for a few weeks .Businesses started to book my services online and everything was progressing well. Then suddenly my website and email disappeared. I Contacted the company who set it up for me to inquire why and was informed that the person responsible for IT had left and was not answering their calls.
Contacted the website server provider to enquire why server was down and they said it had been suspended due to booking company not paying them the money owed to them.
I said What about all the businesses that were on that server you have just pulled without notice. How do we get our websites back? They said “I am sorry, it won't be possible for us to help you in this regards as you have not paid for the hosting services with us. You will need to contact the person to whom you have paid for the hosting services.”
I said “They are long gone. Where does that leave the consumer who has a website on a suspended server?”
They said” In that case, you will have to wait for him”
My question is it legal for a webhosting provider to down a server with independent business’s on without notifying them first?
Surely there must be protection for all the independent companies which were hosted on that server and through no fault of their own have lost money business and credibility with their clients over this.

This is a ownership issue related to a server hosted with us. If I am not wrong, you had a chat with our executive and he assisted you in the best possible way. He asked you a couple of questions related to your account and none of them matched with the registered Billing details of the account. We cannot provide information related to the accounts hosted with us unless we verify the actual owner. We apologise for the inconvenience you are facing, but according to our Privacy policy we cannot disclose any information unless the details match with the registered details. You can check our Privacy policy from the below link:-

The operator you chatted with had suggested you to drop a email at billing@webhosting.uk.com, so that we can verify the details once again. Please send a email and if you have already sent it, please wait until you get a reply on it.

I have closed the other 2 threads in other sections which you have posted on the same issue.
