Default Scanning uploaded files

Hi,

I am developing a web application which has a form that can be used to upload images. My question is how to ensure that those images are virus free. Does Webhosting UK offer a service for this? I used php and mysql for my web application. Replies would be much appreciated.

Welcome to Web Hosting UK Community D_Coda!!!!

Is that an application using which your visitors will upload images? Or only you can upload the images?

You can always check scan the images on your Desktop before uploading them on server.

Hi Sanersone,

The application is for my website visitors to upload images. Some of the website visitors may be unaware of their virus-infested images or they may have a malicious intention to upload an image with virus. And when this happens, my site could be black-listed by Google as a virus site. Is there a way to curb this?

I am sorry, however, we do not provide any application used to verify if images are virus free.
