Default Changing security settings without warning

Hi guys

I have been with webhosting for several years now, but in the last year I have several times been literaaly a couple of hours from leaving the house to find that one, several, or all sites had been badly affected because a security setting had been changed on the shared servere where my site is located.
Now i understand that from time to time it is necessary to change, upgrade or restrict security settings. What i find disappointing is the complete lack of notification - even at the last minute.
Would it be terribly difficult to simply send an email to the accounts that are hosted by an affected server when security settings are altered?
I also realised that not all setings will affect every users - but to be honest, I'd rather be notified and be able to evaluate that myself rather than finding out that your cron job has suddenly stopped or a site is not working because a security setting for php was altered over night.

Other than that, I am only happy with you guys as host, but improved communication would REALLY help.

I think that the emails for the security updates can't be sent to all the customers as it is concerned to the security of the entire server which cannot be sent to every individual. Apart from that for schedule maintenance, hardware upgrade and for server migrations the support team does send emails to all the customers so that they are well informed about it. However I guess your feedback is taken into consideration by the Management and they will work out a good solution on this at the earliest as it s the effective communication that counts at the end.
