When you transfer a domain name to a new host do you loose the years you had registed it for with your old host and have to renew it again.
I ask this as my domain Renewal date was 29-Jun-2009 and i just got an invoice from webhostinguk to renew for another 2 years. ![]() But the Due Date for the payment on the invoice says 0000/00/00, i paid the domain transfer fee invoice then got this renew invoice the day after. ![]() |

Hi Andrew,
Something seems to have gone wrong in the transfer process. I'll cross check and get back to you.

Hi Andrew,
Our billing system gets syncronised with the ICANN and Nominet registry once in a month. Your domain name got transferred this month and the dates never got syncronised. I've made the changes manually and things have got sorted now. You don't need to pay anything for renewal of your domain name for next 1 year.
