Why does the forum strip out urls?

I've integrated few plugins which prevent new members from using hpyerlinks in their posts as well as signature untill and unless they post at least 10 times.

Harry keeps on editing old threads as he is our SEO expert and he removes http:// from old threads

Use VBSEO and it adds a "nofollow" to all URLS posted within Vb, that will save him manually going through

Search Engines will follow no-follow URL's. I've verified this myself.
