[Sea-King.webHosting.uk.com] Web-Stat's Localization Off-Wack
A couple of the sites I tend, that're hosted on Sea-King.webHosting.uk.com, are for highly localized businesses. For example FurnitureFarm.co.uk's market is culturally UK/Eire-centric and, due to the bulk of its products, postage makes the EU a practical limit, for the delivery of handcrafted items.
Subsequently, I watch "Countries" section of awstats.pl quite closely, rating traffic from UK/Eire/EU highly, in terms of the site's effectiveness. Comparison with the "Hours" section has long caused me to suspect that UK/Eire/EU traffic is being misread as being USA derived (e.g. Nov 07 stat's show 95% of traffic between 7am and midnight GMT, i.e. UK waking hours).
With a fresh month to play with, I've just visited from my London BulldogDSL.com account. I was seen to come from 83.146.62.217, however stat's for my visit appeared under the USA breakdown.
I hope this's enough info' to investigate and correct configuration for a more accurate localization (retrospective correction would great). If a fix is not possible within a couple of weeks, any suggestion for work-arounds would be most welcome. - Best, Ian
