Move of Servers to Maidenhead

I just had the email about this but it didn't really tell me if my websites are going to be down during the move. If they are I need to let my customers know. Do I have to make sure everything is backed up before then?

Also - I understand the reasons but by stressing the great security at the new place it does make me wonder if the security is not good where it is at the moment.

You will face downtime of 2 - 4 hours so you should inform your customers ASAP about this move.

Security is good in both locations but we will have more control in Maidenhead as our staff wont have restrictions in Maidenhead as we had with Telecityredbus.

let me know the IP address of server on which your account is hosted. Kev's server is scheduled to be moved on 25th so If you are on same server ( 87.117.234.234 ) then it will be moved on coming Friday.

My IP address is 87.117.200.158 although I use personal nameservers on my Reseller hosting Account

Your server is scheduled to be moved on 26th. you don't have your email address added in your cpanel account ?

Thanks Admin. I must be missing something, I have looked at the accounts and contact e-mail addresses seem to be showing fine?

Your VPS was moved on one of our VPS Hosting nodes based in London and most of your other VPS's are also based in London. Some of your VPS's will be offline for 3 - 4 hours tonight due to migration.

Emails were sent to email reseller account owners only. We don't email to your customers

Thanks Admin, my reseller account has a contact email address shown. I wouldn't expect you to contact customer accounts.

I take it this happened ok as my site is still working and I haven't had any further emails.

Mine too. I had some downtime late on Saturday night, but all appears to be working OK today
