My sites seem ok but whm is still the same, timing out. I have been trying for 2 hours to add another account but I can't even logon to whm!

I have been monitoring the server status all day. The memory used never drops below 79%.....is this a problem? I take it this is the actual server mem usage Not just me vps?

Can you please sort this out Admin, getting real peaved with it now.

Hello Jon,

Shane has replied to your ticket. He had to disable spamd service on your VPS as it was using all your memory and now your memory usage has dropped. Memory usage shown in your WHM is that of your VPS while memory usage seen on SSH is that of the node.

Thanks Admin/Shane, have no idea what spamd is but wish i could see the memory usage, i still can't login!

It was ok for five minutes then timing out again. I have just done some testing and maybe this may help?? Although i am having difficulty with whm, i can login to cpanel on 3 different sites without any problems or delay????? I thought i would have problems with both?

I have asked support if they would test it periodically for a couple of hours, hopefully they see my problem if not seen it already. Failing that, i cannot think why i would be having problems with that site only and not anything else.

ps. the only reply i have had just stated no problems, nothing about disabling spamd

Well I don't want to speak too soon but logged in twice this morming and has been ok. The update worked as well.

Kinda proves there is nothing wrong at my end cos it was fine this morning. At work this afternoon I couldn't login as it was timing out.
Tonight was ok first time logging in and then in the last half hour totally useless. I have just finally managed to login and copied this server image, relevant or not.

Sorry but will not accept that this is a problem at my end! When you login it maybe fine but it is hit and miss constantly.

I need to know if anything can be done to sort this or not admin.

Just logged in fine, clicked list accounts...fine, clicked back to main.....fine, clicked list accounts again.....1 minute then finally loads.....back to main.......right hand frame "page cannot be displayed"

Hello Jon,

If you want then I can get your VPS moved on a Virtuozzo node for no additional cost. Seems like OpenVZ wont work for you as resources are not so well distributed in OpenVZ and one VPS can make problems for all other customers on same node.

Virtuozzo is better as you get power panel with Virtuozzo to manage your VPS and we get monitoring panel which gives statistics of CPU & RAM usage on all VPS's

You wont need to do anything besides changing the IP address of the nameservers. We will take care of moving your data on Virtuozzo VPS.

We have expertise in cpanel - cpanel migration so you wont loose any data / databases.

As far as nameservers, I didn't include the ip, only domain name ns1.mydomain, ns2.mtdomain so I assume is ok to leave as is??

Secondly, if this works for me ok, would it be possible to add a second vps? or will it cost more that the basic £20 ?

I think I want another package but need to know i will be able to use WHM.

Please go ahead with moving the ttsmedia vps though, many thanks

Please open a ticket for our VPS team to setup your new VPS on Virtuozzo node and include link to this thread so that they don't ask anyone from billing to add anything to existing package. for additional VPS on Virtuozzo node it will cost £3 extra per month.

Other reason for opening a ticket is that they will need to migrate your data as well and provide you with necessary information for nameserver IPs.

Thx admin for the Virtuozzo, took me a while to figure out what is was for but i sort of now know

WHM is still slow (not always) but doesn't time out anymore. I am happy with that though. Still don't really understand how most of the time cpanel, domains and mysql were fine but not WHM??

As for my new vps which i am going to order. I think i will go for the basic vps without virtuozzo for now. Maybe a change of server/ partition will help. A quick question though: DO I need a domain name for you to set up the hostname and nameservers for the vps? Huge problems with this part on the first vps so still not sure how it is all done.

Without hostname you will have major problems with email service and without nameservers your websites wont work.

If you wish to use our hostname and our nameservers then simply put a comment in the comment box that you wish to use our domain name for hostname and nameservers and we will make necessary configuration when we setup your VPS.

This part is somewhat difficult when you switch to VPS / Dedicated but everyone has to go through this things as you become partially responsible for managing your VPS / Dedicated server.
