This may be a stupid question but,... email that comes through my domain has the senders address marked as

"myusername@mirage.webhosting.uk.com; on behalf of; whoeversentit@theirmail.com"

is there anyway to change this.. its slightly annoying.

You will need to open a ticket from our helpdesk located at http://support.webhosting.uk.com

Our senior system admins know the solution for this problem so they will be able to sort this for you.
