Default cPanel and email

Forgive me for sounding like a creep, but I think webhosting.uk.com offers a brilliant service and I've now got 4 different websites powered by you.

However, because I'm always working off different computers, I have to use webmail and I'm not so impressed with either of the three programmes that are available through cPanel. I know, for example, that there is a much better version of SquirrelMail - is there any chance that we'll be able to access better versions at any point in the future?

Upgrades are made to the webmail softwares by the providers but if you consider web interface of yahoo or gmail then you wont like Horde, Neomail or Squirrelmail as this webmail softwares are not anywhere in comparision with yahoomail or gmail.

I personally prefer to have outlook on my desktop as well as Laptop as that allows me to quickly answer emails that landup in different queues of my outlook. Auto Refresh and auto send function of outlook alongwith message rules is the best option.

Am I wrong in thinking admin you're telling pink_fish they should access the mailbox as an IMAP rather than pop the mail off?

I didn't mention IMAP anywhere. You can use pop3 or IMAP in your outlook. Depends on what you like more.

I prefer pop3.

Heh, What I meant was, that since Pink_Fish was using multiple computers, if they wanted to manage the mail from multiple computers they could using IMAP through outlook or another mail client, then they could simply pop the emails off at their main workstation
