Default Problem with the new chat software ?

Hi,

I don;t know if the chat is working for some of you but,
when an admin or operator says,

"Hello, how may I assist you"?
It won't let me type anywhere. No text field.

Any ideas?
Thanks
- Karim

P.S. Sorry for posting in wrong place

Hello Karim,

We have developed our owned livechat software and its under testing phase right now. All testing work was completed on our end but we are looking for some feedback from customers.

We got the type text problem sorted before some time so you wont face this problem again with the livechat.

I only seem to get the Please Wait Operator is busy message, before Chat was almost always instant.

We have recently changed our livechat software to separate all departments as the previous clickchatsold livechat software didn't allow to setup departments due to which all chats popup on systems of all operators and it makes things difficult for our staff as they need to check the question put by visitors and accordingly accept the chats.

Our staff is taking some time to get accustomed with the new livechat software but from now you should not see any problems.

Also. This happens most times with me. I don't know if any customers are available but... When it says "Please wait, Operator Busy"
It doesn't move from there. I even left it like that all day... Still no reply.
Just to let you know...

Anyway my problem is: What other FTP clients other than WS FTP and WinSCP supports root accese?
When I use WinSCP, I get in fine... then I always get a timeout or host not found and WS FTP errro: Can not find connection to host...

- Karim.

I have requested developers of the livechat software to look into this. Hopefully they will come up with a solution by tomorrow morning.

Regarding root ftp access, you should communicate with our vps support team. Our system admins will sort it within no time.

You seem to have gone back to the old Chat system, but I find that after a couple of questions I seem to lose the operator. However if I immediately start a new session the Operator is there again.

We have managed to remove bugs from our new chat system. We are running final tests on it and it would be added on the website once again in few days.

Nice.
Wouldn't that be costly.
Couldn't you just buy a live chat for cheap price and all developed

We need some special features in the livechat software which are not available with any other online chat software. We have completed development of the chat software so it will be launched again in next 24 hours.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find that after two or three questions and answeres Live Chat just stops working, with no response from operators. Upon closing the Chat and re-opening it, the same operator often replies again straight away, but again two or three questions later nothing.

Currently we are using CCS livechat software which has got this problem. We are developing our owned chat software for same reason as all livechat softwares available in the market have this problem and our new livechat software has got socket based connection which will continue the chat conversation even if you or we face network problems and need to reconnect.

Allow us 2 - 3 days more so that we can get rid of the bugs which were found initially and notified by some of our customers.

Let me know what problems you have faced with the new chat software. We are still debugging it and we have the old chat software on main index page but new one for the inner pages.

Let me know your feedback as that will help us to debug.
