Great Idea - I have forums on all my other sites which create a community feel and gets customers coming back. A rolling programme of tips would good - off to do some checking of my craft books.

Well, that will work great if you are creating a community, just one more idea come to the mind, since this is festive season you can also add a free tutorial for digital scrapbook targeting specific kids age group.

Just a thought Cassie but if you do craft stuff on a computer you could use a program like Camtasia to create instruction videos which you could charge for.

Not sure I'm that creative myself I just sell the stuff.

We had a market stall selling yarn for about 15 years. I set up a website in 2000. By about 2004 the website was taking more money than the market so we shut the stall and concentrated on the Internet. By then we had started a Craft Bits site which contained a few kits as well as the 'bits'. When yarn went through a bit of a decline last year we decided to expand the kits and put them on a new site.

The other sites seem to be really successful but the kits one is taking a long time to get any orders (we've had a few but not enough - when is enough enough?) I was concerned that the problem was the site but perhaps it is the stock.

I will certainly look at adding some 'value' to the site in some format.
