In the not too distant future Yahoo will be giving all its users unlimited space. Now my first question is will any other free email service provider ever be able to match Yaoo's unlimited storage? Does it really make any sense to give all its user unlimited storage? The average user doesn't use the entire 1G that is now offered by Yahoo, much less to give them unlimited storage, which most people will never have the use for. Another thing is when you give unlimited storage people tend to keep unnecessary emails that they would not normally keep, but they now keep them because they don't have to worry about a full mail box anymore.
What do guys think about this unlimited storage?? |

That means Yahoo is going to provide you "unlimited storage and unlimited spam".

I don't think that yahoo's unlimited storage space is going to last long.
What will happen to their server when it gets filled up because people haven't emptied their inbox? I haven't even used 1% of my hotmail inbox and I have over 300 unread and about 100 read messages. And my inbox is 2gb. I don't even think it's needed to have a unlimited storage for your emails. 2gb is enough already, yahoo. should just follow hotmail with their storage limit. |

Well guess what Mr Administrator Yahoo now provides unlimited space to all its users.
If you give someone 50giga bytes of storage space the average user will never use that amount of space. In truth and in fact almost 100% of yahoo users will never use nowhere close to 50gs, so I believe that yahoo knows that so they can confidently back their unlimited storage, they also know that no one can really use unlimited storage space, the only way they can be under any real pressure with this unlimited storage thing is if they allow the user to attach very large files like 1gig and up, but with just 20 mega bytes of attachment allowed there will be no threat to this unlimited storage. I believe it is more of a marketing statment than anything else, just to say we give you more space than anyone else. |

I am too frustrated, but some of the feature in yahoo are still nice like RSS integration, yahoo Answer & instant messaging part IMO.

A PC magazine recently rated Yahoos online apps as better than Googles so maybe they should start thing about a fourth or even a fifth server?
