I couldn't really see what you are trying to achieve. Maybe I'm missing something but why would I use your site rather than Google?

Kev,
I think this site is useful for searching songs of a specific artist, it will give you more precise results than Google;
We should encourage webmasters for such different concepts.....

Actually because it has a narrower selection of sites to search from in a lot of cases it is going to produce less relevant results.

I'm all for encouraging new concepts I'm just not sure that this is one.

hmmm gud question ill be frank my friends told me whenever they search for a mp3 , lyrics or song info they usually have to browse over 5-6 pages before they get what they want so i tried to narrow the music searches

btw i am trying to create an option for a user created search but right now my scripting is not very good

i am also planning to integrate a small portal for discussing music and album reviews etc

All you have to do is to concentrate on SEO; link building is the best way also viral marketing will play an important role.

Perhaps you could focus on a particular type of music? If you could build a community up around one genre then later you could try expanding into other areas.

You could do. FWIW -try to think about what sort of information your friends look for on bands, is there a pattern there, a gap that you could help fill?

An interesting site you have here. This would be much helpful to people searching for music, since the search engine is based only for music, unlike google, and other such search engines. It would benefit you more if you were to advertise your site more and make your site more know. keep up the good work
