Default phpBB Hosting Forum Defaced

Hi there, I couldn't find a forum where I could air my general complaints so I thought I'd place the topic in here!

I logged on to my forum this morning to discover that it had been defaced....by you guys at webhosting.uk.com!!!! I am not amused at all! It appears that you've used some script to alter my overall_footer.tpl file on my style templates to add new links to your blog and your news sites.

My forum and website do not exist so that you can use it to advertise yourselves!

I noticed that you'd 'kindly' created a backup copy of the file you defaced, but discovered that too contained the script.

To add insult to injury you've not even been able to edit the file successfully and you've caused the fonts to become different sizes and removed the link to access the administrator panel! Obviously this is not desirable!

I will now replace all my files to remove this intriusion on my site. Please refrain from doing this again!

Same here.

I now have to go and edit 6 templates to remove the links.

If I'd wanted unrequested ads on my site I'd have gone for a free forum hoster instead.

Perhaps you could write a script to remove them all.....

A post for your suggestions forum perhaps. Don't edit your paying customers forums without asking their permission first.

While working on our server yesterday, it has been accidentally mass replaced by one of our admins. So we request all our clients who are facing this problem to contact our support department at support@webhosting.uk.com to get it rectified.
