Default Best freeware firewall

I like zone alarm (Personal Firewall from Zone Labs is well known and widely used)
Wanted to see what everyone else prefer and why?

I use Kerio Personal and Zone Alarm - never had a problem with either although I normally like a bit more control than ZA offers. I have some custom filters set up on my main machine and as far as I know ZA doesn't allow you to do this.

I like Zone Alarm because of technical superiority.

ZoneAlarm is good enough for an average home user. It gives them peace of mind and does a decent job of stopping incoming attacks. Kerio Personal Firewall 2.14 is another good freeware firewall, its free, well designed and effective.

There are many personal firewalls and internet security products available for personal use. I like Comodo, it supports internet connection sharing, while the free versions of Kerio and ZoneAlarm do not.

I like sygate, it protects against Trojans, spyware, worms and other known & unknown threats, much like Zone Alarm.

Yes, Zone Alarm. I won’t mind checking comodo for some more added features.

Well, I use Sygate Personal Firewall because its auto protection from hackers and other attacks is much better. It includes protocol driver-level protection and enhanced logging also.
