Default Anti Virus Scanner

Some of my RV Cpanels don't have an Anti Virus Scanner, but others do. Anyone else noticed this? I have raised a ticket.

I will assign your ticket to one of our senior staff members if you provide me with the ticket #. Linux Servers don't need anti-virus scanners as Virus can never make any problems for Linux filesystem. anti-virus tool is available with cpanel just to scan your emails and files to ensure that you don't download any virus infected files or emails in your local machine. If you have anti-virus running on your local machine then there's no need for anti-virus on your hosting account.

Thanks Admin ticket number BJV-19242-152. Most of the RV Cpanels have virus scanner as does the X Cpanels. One of my clients Websites wouldn't open the other day because of virus. His RV Cpanel did have anti-virus and running it cleared the virus, Live Chat helped with this problem. it was then I realised that some Cpanels had this installed and some didn't. The ones that didn't had an extra problem with the Help button only opening a blank page. Live Chat said they would pass the problem to Admin and I would hear something ASAP, but I didn't so Live Chat opened a ticket for me.

Well today none of my sites were working, Support fixed it and said that httpd had stopped on the Server. They re-started it and the sites came back. They didn't know what might have stopped it in the first place though.
