Do you think comminity forums help much in fioxing issues that appear while running web hosting business?
I have seen some on the web sites *******
Share your thoughts please.

It definately helps those in need of minor support issues and boosts the companys image and makes them more well-known.

IMO forum should be used for general and technical discussion rather than making it a place for fixing issues, as a good host you should always provide some fast and easy way of communication for your clients for their issues....

Forums should be used for friendly chats and to share our experiences so as to help others.

Community forums also helps a webhosting company to communicate better with their clients. Common notifications, announcements & other issues just have to be posted on the forum & it reaches almost everyone.

Forums also help to create a certain image for the hosting provider. If your clients are in general satisfied with the service & support provided, it reflects in a healthy manner on the forums. If there are constant niggles & issues, it shows on the forums again!

As a forum users for specific solution, I go this way- Forums - relevant blogs- knowledgebase.
