Redesigning of site.

I was looking at my dentists web site today. It's shocking

Horrible unnecessary scrolly javascript bits, animated gifs, gradient image buttons. It's from the ark. It also doesn't work properly on the latest firefox or IE7.

I was half thinking of offering to remake it for them. Something new, nice and simple CSS, all the salient information in a neat new style (although, not being a web designer by trade I wouldn't know what to charge).

Have you ever stumbled across a site, thought it looked shocking and offered your services to make a new whizzbang version?

I've come across plenty that I would like to redesign but when I used to mention it to people they used to have a completely unrealistic idea of what it would cost so nowadays I just sneer at them behind their back.

I've come across many sites like these, they have un necessary material with no resemblance to their respective business at all. Thats why you should always seek help from professional ppl who can give you a good web presence. That helps growing your business & you get a good professional identity.

Sites like this are all too common. The sad thing is, I think a truely awful website has a greater negative effect on a business than no website at all
