Hi
What do I need to ask WH UK to do to fix my date format to UK. I am using ASP and Access, and a simple response.write date() is displaying as 8/31/2008 on pages. What must I ask the web host to do to my account/server/whatever to display dates in UK format. Thanks |

It seems the shared server is set that way.
I chose a British host in the hope that its date settings would be set to this locale. Why does this country never help itself. I am now stuck, as much of my code is date orientated. |

I don't know anything re asp coding, but isn't it like all the other languages! You set the date format using code.....no?
EDIT: Actually i just found this http://www.codetoad.com/asp/format_date_time.asp Halfway down the page <%session.lcid=2057%>

Of course its code, but I won't get it all converted by Thursday - which was why I went for UK server. The whole site is an appointments system - jam packed with date calculations etc.
Never mind - I will chack the server date format first next time - it saves a lot of time if it starts off in UK format. |

I would recommend using LiveSupport.
