Default Swish or Flash

Both are applications for developing animations. Which do yo prefer? Swish seems to be much easier to learn than Macromedia's Flash?

Adobe's Flash now Swish actually creates swf files so it's kind of a baby Flash. It's definitely easier to learn but Flash gives you endless flexibility plus ActionScript. If you want to create a quick animated banner then Swish will probably do but if you want to do some serious animation or build a RIA then you'd better learn Flash.

I think that is where Macromedia's Flash advantage come's in. The action script feature which can work with other web script like PHP to make your Flash site dynamic. Is Swish capable of working with XML?

I use Swish when i want to animate text and logo's as it is very easy to do with it's readymade effects as compare to Flash .
Flash has it's own importance and it comes while using it's actionscript to make your page more interactive.

By using flash mx you can bring more creativity and even flash learning curve is easier than swish, IMO.

I hate drawing in Flash though, I swear Macromedia went out of their way to make as bloody awkward as possible.
