The cost of Windows VPSs is higher in comparison to Linux VPSs as Windows operating system is a paid operating system and the licensing fee of Windows operating system is to be paid. Scripting language and not cost decides choice of hosting platform. VPS offers a full root admin access ie complete control. Asp.net, MS SQL, IIS7 requires a windows hosting platform only and will incur more cost as Windows is a licensed product.
