Default How To - Reset SmarterMail admin login credentails.
In order to reset the SmarterMail admin login credentials, follow the instructions below:

Quote:
1.Stop the SmarterMail Service.
2.Go to C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterMail (or the SmaterMail installation directory).
3.Open the*Service subdirectory.
4.Make a backup copy of the file MailConfig.xml.
5.Open MailConfig.xml in Notepad.
6.Find the following parameters in MailConfig.xml:
Quote:
<sysadminusername> ... </sysadminusername>
<sysadminpassword> ... </sysadminpassword>
7.Delete those lines and save the file.
8.Start the SmarterMail Service.
You should now be able to log in to SmarterMail by using the following details:

Email: admin
Password: admin

Reset the password immediately after you login to SmaterMail with the above mentioned login details.
