Virtuozzo is a software based virtualization platform used to setup Linux/Windows VPS. Hyper-V and VMware both are hardware based virtualization platform but Hyper-V is designed for Windows VPS whereas VMware is designed for both Linux/Windows VPS. We have used VMware technology for the Cloud VPS setup and it guarantees 100% uptime.

Each one of us looks for a host that provides 100% uptime guarantee. If the VMWare Cloud Hosting is a solution then I think the best of these 3 virtualization platforms is VMWare.

Apart from 100% uptime, Cloud Hosting also promises to deliver the following features as well:
  • Redundancy
  • Scalability
  • Ease of Implementation
  • Cluster of Services

Cloud hosting is a rapidly evolving technology from futuristic into a commercially viable alternative for companies in search of a cost-effective storage and server solution. It has been estimated that by 2012, 80 percent of Fortune 1000 enterprises would pay for some cloud-computing service, whereas 30 percent of them would pay for cloud-computing infrastructure.

In addition, it provide you simple yet powerful value proposition because you're only going to pay for what you use, rather than looking to buy upfront what you think you're supposed to use.

Hi
i think Both HyperV and VMware VPS are based on hardware virtualization and provides dedicated resources. HyperV nodes are not in cluster as compare to VMware cloud. Cloud VPS will provide you high availability. On Cloud, your VPS will get rebooted automatically on another node in case if something goes wrong with running node. So it will provide you more uptime for your websites, applications.
In both the case i.e. upgrading to HyperV / VMware cloud VPS, you will get a fresh new VPS with new IP address and you will need to re-install all your application again. Our windows admins will help you with data migration over to new VPS.
