Server down since January, 10 2010 at 2:30AM

Hello,

Our server twins-solutions.com is down since January, 10 200 at 2:30AM.
I contacted the support 6 times and sent emails to your senior admins.
However, the server is STILL DOWN.

Is someone else having problems with his/her VPS?
For the admins, what is the status of the problem?

The VPS hardware node is down because the RAID got degraded. Our datacenter engineers are working on the issue and this will be sorted soon. We will post updates in this thread as and when they are available.

Hello,

Our datacenter engineers tried their level best to rebuild the RAID array on existing server but were unable to do so. So finally, we had to replace the RAID card and hard drives on the existing server.

We have Saturday's (9th Jan 2010) backup available on a USB hard drive. Currently Virtuozzo installation is going on it, as soon as the installation process gets completed, we will proceed with the backup restoration.

Hello Sebastian,

That's good.

However, from my experience, Plesk restore doesn't restore NTFS permissions, Local Users and several more configurations that are needed for the server to fully function.

Do you have a backup of the disk itself?

After doing a quick check, it looks like all services are in the same status like before the crash.
