The way England played got them out of the trophy. Most of the key players were suffering from injuries. They ended on a good note by beating West Indies; this will keep them motivated for the forthcoming series with their traditional rivals. We can expect a healthy competition and some good cricket.
IMO the final will be between Australia and South Africa.

England's performance in the one dayers has been pretty modest in the last few months so England's exit from the Champions Trophy came as a no big surprise. I think England won't be able to retain the Ashes this time around as their key players who played a major role in winning back the Ashes last year are out due to injuries and secondly beating Australia in their own backyard is going to be very difficult.

About the finals, Australia-South Africa final would be gr8.

As all of us know that it was a disappointing start by the aussies but at the end they manage to reach at a competitive target.
NZ start was terrible, at the score of 50 all the top batsmens were back in pavilion, Oram and Vettori played a very good innings
but still kiwis are out of the CT, aussies are in final now and lets see what happens today...

I think it's going to be a very exciting match, Both Australia and West Indies have been in top form in this tournament, have beaten their opponents comprehensively. Australia have never won Champions Trophy before so they would be raring to have a go at the West Indies for the Title and West Indies are the defending champions and always at their very best in the Champions Trophy.

Australia reaffirmed their status as the undisputed champions in world cricket by breaking the Champions Trophy jinx with an emphatic eight-wicket victory over West Indies. The Aussies won the competition for the first time since its inception in 1998.

It was a pathetic performance by the Windies. The final was one sided and truly dissappointing. Add to that the rain played a spoilsport too I wonder why always the finals of major tournaments like Champions Trophy and World Cup are mostly one sided?
