Well First Of All Welcome To Webhosting UK

Ok Now Let's Get You Introduced To The Forums

Well, First You Should Think About Your Content, What You Want Your Forum To Be Based On..

Then After Thinking, You Should Think About An Forum System

Example.. vBulletin, phpBB, IPB, MyBB etc..

NOTE: vBulletin Costs Alot, But It's The Best Forum System, Yet!

Also An Good Suggestion

MyBB Has Almost The Same Features/Options Like vBulletin, And It's Free!

It's An Mix Of vBulletin And Invision Power Board!

And Basiclly Running A Forum, Is A Easy Job! Administrating It Is Really Easy!

But You Need Good/Active Moderators To Keep Your Forum Clean..

If You Need Any Further Help, Please Be Free To Reply!

Regards,

MeTi

The content is no problem, it will be racing.

The Forum System is a little problem for me, i realy dont know the difference here.

How to choice for vBulletin, phpBB, IPB, MyBB etc..

The cost i dont mind, it has to be simple to use and easy to learn.
Good/Active Moderators is no problem i have a few good friens who will help me out.
But they have the same problem as me the like the forums but no experience.

Thanks for your reply.

Can you give more advice?

Your problem there is that there are already lots of very well established forums on racing. F1, indycar, nascar, the lot. They also cause lots of problems as you get people arguing about who is th ebest or if someone was cheating etc.

Most of them are easy to learn.
A good starting point would be to get easyphp (free, just google for it) which allows you to install the forum software offline so you can try each one out and see if it does what you want it to do before you actually 'go live'.

Don't appoint moderators until you actually need them. Also don't appoint people who ask you if they can be mods. They tend to be power hungry and want to be in charge of something. They're generally the last people to ask. Choose people YOU think have the right temperament for the job.
