Default Suggestion regarding your company's (webhosting.uk.com) status

As i can imagine, you have lots of international customers, even at the other side of the world. Physical contact is not possible and the main disadvantage is that some international customers (like me) sometimes feel uncertain. For example i could say that one day you could suddenly drop all your servers without any prior notice because your business is not doing very well (extreme huh?). I am pretty satisfied by your services and i already have 4 dedicated servers with you and i suppose that your business is doing well, but you never know...

If i have physical contact, when such a major problem occurs, then i try to find the responsible and have a little face to face talk. But now this is not possible and this is what makes me uncertain.

So, what's my suggestion? You could make your international clients feel more safe and secure if you could put some up-to-date company news in your website informing people about your company's development. For example you could mention how many servers you are managing right now, new cooperations etc.

I saw your blog, but this is not a blog, it is actually a technical support resource.

Could you do such a thing? Also some names and possibly some pictures of your staff should be a good idea.

I think this is a great idea. The company could benefit enormously by having a human 'face', both figuratively and literally.

I will have a word with other members of Management Team. Our main problem is that we always keep on running short of staff in all departments and we need to revise our recruitment strategy many times a year. We will need to assign one of our existing staff members to manage such news portal which looks difficult in existing situation.

We have some new members joining from next month and we will consider your suggestion once we have sufficient staff strength to focus on such Value Added Services.

Quick turn over of staff - that explains a lot.

lol. I was expecting your comment.

its not due to quick turn over of staff. Our Tickets, Chats and Phone call volume has doubled in last 6 months and its not that simple to double your staff strength in such short time.

We have focused on automation for many of our internal operations which includes automated setup of shared hosting, reseller hosting, vps hosting and semi-dedicated server signups. We have automated setup of our Dedicated Servers as well and now our staff members can install new servers with few clicks of mouse.

We've never allowed quality of our service to go down and that's the only reason you have stayed over here though you keep on critisizing our company all the time

No company is near perfect, there are many situations that can be resolved yourself that you have inquired about, which I've seen myself then you complain that the company is not doing enough to ensure this and that etc etc. Even though your package may be Managed doesn't mean that the staff HAVE to help every single case. Be greatful for what they do.

You stay as Web Hosting UK are cheap, you also stay to post criticizing comments now and again on the forums.. which I believe isn't the best of solutions.

I turn to the forums for help when I get nowhere with tech sup - I find the general public on here to be just as helpful and usually explain things much better.

As webuk appear to expect us to turn to the forum for ALL information regarding our accounts - even very important ones - no one can complain when we turn to the forum for ALL our support.

Come on, i didn't say about a news portal. I know that this is difficult. But a more detailed company profile and your company status once a month i think it would be very easy. You could do it only by yourself in your blog. The vast majority of webhosting companies do such a thing.

You don't have to maintain a news portal.

Otherwise just upload some details about the management staff to know who is presonally responsible.

Allow us 2 - 3 weeks time and we will have something setup as per your suggestion. Most important thing is that we need to think what information can be misused by our competitors and keep that information confidential.

I am sure Andrew has alot on his plate, he may have forgotten this thread. There's no need to be so negative / rude.
