Dedicated Server Backup solutions.

Hey guys (n girls)

When I purchased my dedicated server with you I was offered FTP space for my backups. I configured Plesk to backup to the FTP space and all is good.

It would be good if you could offer a total backup solution though. It would be nice to know that my server is backed up in full (not just the websites)every night without having to worry.

What do you think?

11. Do you include a backup service with the dedicated server plans ?
Ans : We offer 20 GB remote backup space free of cost with all our dedicated servers. Once you sign up for the server, you will need to contact our support dept. on setup of your server to allow our system admins to login and setup the backup scripts.

I had to pay for mine Why is this when I subscribed after that was posted?

Could you let us know what these backup scripts do?

Hello Glenn,

You have a windows server so configuring full remote backup using Rsync is quite complicated. We offer 20GB remote backup space free with Linux Servers as it takes no time for us to configure Rsync backup scripts for Linux Servers but our system admins loose good amount of time to configure full rsync backup for windows servers.

You are most welcome to open a ticket for our windows team and ask them what suggestions they have for setup full backup for your server. They will get back to you with some costs so you know where to come once they give those details

I don't have a Windows server... I have a Linux server...

Would have been nice to have got the backup space included in the package rather than having to pay for it seperately and configure it myself.

As I have a Linux server could I get rsync set-up? (or is it done already?)

please let me know one of your previous ticket number so that I can find out if Rsync backup was setup for you or not.

do you receive daily email notifications of completion of backup ?

If not then you have FTP backup configured for your server. It seems that you have plesk control panel and that might be the reason for having FTP backup configured instead of full rsync backup.
