Point system

There is a point system feature available for VB forum. I suggest that this option be activated so that forun memberrs can redeem their points in the form of ad links ot banner links or even cash.

I would suggest that this is a great idea and is used for the '30 posts free domain' contest.

I don't know about anyone else but yes this forum needs more frequent visitors but the persistant non-stop arsey threads really p*ss me off. I would suggest that this forum loses frequent posters BECAUSE of the free domain offer than gains them.

I have been here since feb and sinse then most dissapear after getting the freebie, and what mark have they left on the forum!! OBSOLUTELY NOTHING, just loads of replying to old threads, stating the obvious and flooding the forum with crap.

Just my opinion but I dare say I am not alone.

The point system sounds great though. How about only getting points for replying to threads already created? Not allowed to create them and not allowed to reply to threads over a week old?

YES I know it is catch 22, you need threads to reply to, but Kev, Paul, Admin, Cassie, Jan, Jalesh, myself, etc (sry if i misssed anyone...... not inclusive) post enough a week for them to get on with.

I have seen someone get a free domain in 2 days! surely it isn't a speed contest is it?

Sounds great because I could do without logging on to check new posts and staring at a page full of nonsense from Queenie. I can't be bothered to wade trough them to see if anyone has posted worthwhile.

I agree with Kev, can't be bothered sorting throught the crud to find something worthwhile to reply to. After a while you lose interest and don't bother replying and then stop visiting full stop.

This is something we need to consider and get the free domain contest modified. maybe some old members left the forum due to new nonsense every week.

Cost of domain name is nothing for us and we can give much more than that to improve quality of our forum. We will have a meeting tomorrow and find out some solution for better growth of our forum.

Exactly ! thats where you start loosing Enthusiasm and Motivation and once you make your mind then its all over. I'll take this suggestions seriously and have something implemented.

Meanwhile if you have some suggestions in your mind then please feel free to post those. You are equal owners of this forum and you have full authority to put your thoughts.

Nooo Kev and Jon, I urgently need 2 domains: one is to buy my website again (as a new one) when it's expired, and another brand new site.

Since there's no credit card or online payments and online banks in our country, I can't pay to renew my website which is gonna be expired soon. And I searched around many sites but they don't renew. But I did found some sites that renew for me but their point system is stupid and impossible for normal people.

So the only way is to register it again when it get expired. And I'm very serious in it. That's why I am posting very fast in this forum cos it's very important for me.

And you might think that I will run away after I get domains. Don't worry, friends. I won't I promise. I enjoy talking in forums and come whenever I got time. I just can't be online 24 hours everyday since I have to study my lessons from my university too.

so make sure that you sort your old posts once you get your domain name. I suppose you have communicated with James to get your domain name transferred and renewed.

James - I hope you are going to check all Queenies posts before giving him/her a domain, if the 3 above this are anything to go by they are not exactly "quality".

Sure Cassie, the above 3 post of me and some other post/replies of me in this forum are not quality cos I just answered what people asked, and some are just chat. James doesn't have to count on them. I know.
It's true Cassie, that there's no online payments or bank accounts where we can pay online in our country. I won't be posting in forums and trying that hard to get renew my domain or to buy new domain if these services are available here. I posted a lot in a site before, but it's a scam site and I didn't get domain from there.
Well... I've been trying very hard to get my domain renewed those days.... If I have an online bank, I would pay for it right now.

PS_ I found and come this site because I see we can get domains in 30 posts. And I'm waiting for it.
