Default Free Windows VPS Hosting

I don't think that I've ever seen it anywhere on the web, where Windows VPS Hosting is given away free. I truly wonder why this is the case.

So here am suggesting that you should make windows vps hosting free. Please don't get me wrong, everything comes with a price! So wether you run a contest or you make it available to people who makes a certain amount of quality posts, I don't know that is totally up to you. I just think that this would really help in a very good way to make this forum much more active, and this would even attract alot more new members.

What do you think? Is this remotely possible?

I don't think it is feasible to a professional hosting company to make such service free, also you can't expect good service and support without paying some one.

According to me Forums are build for open discussion and for helping eachother solving queries giving guideline, not just to attract new member and making it a market place....

I think it is possible under a Linux environment although I have yet to find one. VPS rate nowadays is almost at the level of resellers account. Free VPS account can be acquired thru exchange deals.

You may get free shared or reseller hosting but I don't think any vps hosting providers will offer Linux or Windows VPS hosting for free.

Excuse my naivety - but I keep seeing threads about VPS in various types and reseller hosting and am a little lost. Don't want to contribute to the conversation but I would like to know what it is talking about.

Wow - started this as a quick reply then went advanced - there are some new smilies - when did that happen - cool but hey that one don't work nether does that one - back to the normal ones then

Will the smoking one be allowed after next week?

Yesterday we have added some new smilies and now all the smilies are working fine. Some regular shortcuts used for the smilies might be different here so while posting please select the smilies from the right hand side.

This post looks a little odd now that the smiles are working - they were not working when I posted (I'm not blonde but there isn't one for brunette).

Still need an answer to the serious question I asked before I got distracted by the new smilies
