Database Servers Opinion

What you all think about a database server. Are can any one help me which sort of server should i go ahead with. I think i am going to use a file server. Can any one suggest any other feasible option instead of using a file server hosting package.

I just wanted to inform you that you can you can use a servers as database servers as well as file servers as per your needs and it is completely feasible. If you are using a server for host your website, it is also possible to host those website files as well as the databases on the same server and hence you need not consider another server for hosting the databases.

When the organization is completely based on the data or which are complete dependent on data or it is a bigger company which have offices all around globe which consistently needs to access a huge amount of data, having DB server at such instances is Worth !

When a end user think for a File server it is lot lot more easier to save the storage as well as resources and is centralized.
This makes it is easier to access the server database at any point of time.

The file server's are highly speed computer within the entire network which are complete responsible for data storage and the programs as well as the data files which are shared by users with in the community. It acts like a remote disk drive. There is a huge difference between the file server as well as the application server. The file server stores the programs and data, while the application server runs the programs and processes the data.
