Hello,

I'm afraid this isn't possible. You may want to consider upgrading to a dedicated server

Sorry!

We don't provide additional space on Semi-Dedicated account. You will have to consider our Dedicated Server.

Thumbs up

Well, unfortunately it is not possible to offer additional disk space on our Semi-dedicated web hosting servers. But, if you need additional disk space you can consider a Dedicated server hosting which is quite affordable. Also, you will have the server for yourself which is yet another benefit. You do not have to share the hardware of the server as you share in the Semi-dedicated server. Also, you will have complete control over the server which is not the case with a Semi-dedicated server. So a Dedicated server is much more beneficial in comparison to the Semi-dedicated server. So go ahead and buy a dedicated server for yourself.

Hmm what was the point in everyone saying EXACTLY the same thing?...

Hmm i was going to upgrade to a dedi from whuk, but i found someone else who looks very good slightly cheaper and get tons more for my buck :/ dont be afriad to shop around :p

WHUK is good no doubt but it seems there are others which can more than beat their dedi prices.

Remember that others may not offer 24/7 Livechat support and Fully Managed dedicated servers

I know, and i knew someone would say that but frankly the more i use the 24/7 live chat the more i realise with anything which i couldnt find in google in 4 seconds flat they dont seem to know.

So i am valueing the live support less when it comes to support problems, especially with dedicated/linux questions.

So when i can get 2 x 750 hdds with raid and 750gb backup and 4 times the ram 2 times the cpu power and unmetered bandwidth for £10 less a month.... theres not really any competition.

Well, I don't think the company which is providing you this specification for this much cost is a genuine one. This seems to be a case of Overselling.

There doesn't need to be any competition from my perspective. Web Hosting UK offers top quality services around the clock. Each company differs from eachother, nothing will ever change that. Comparing companies doesn't relate to the initial question of server upgrades on semi-dedicated plans.

Datacenter fee's aren't the cheapest of expenses either.. so hardware ontop of support ontop of rack fee's.. it's quite a nice total value.

I have just looked at all your dedicated server offerings and notice that you offer the same price for each specification of machine for Windows and Linux... how do you manage this? I thought it would cost you more for Windows because of the licensing situation?

Not complaining, just curious

Hello Richard,
Prices advertised on dedicated server page are the cost of plain servers without any add-ons like OS, control panel, Raid structure, extra bandwidth, extra RAM… etc
You can configure the server by clicking “CONFIGURE” button and can add all required add-ons to get exact cost of the server, if you need more details or any kind of help please contact us via Live chat to open a ticket for sales team.
