Recent surge in spam attacks

Has anyone else noticed a big hit in spam attacks (particularly forums and blogs) in the last couple of weeks?

It seems ReCAPTCHA has been cracked and I've noticed that they're even getting through Q&A type registration protection too.

It's hugely annoying and I do wish they'd all just sod off.

It would be nice to ban all incoming traffic from Russia and China as that's where 99% of it comes from.

few days back i too felt the same thing as you thought,then my designer advised to go random (well... encrypted with a random salt) field names as well. Makes it more difficult to tell which fields are the dummies that shouldn't be filled in by dummies. My devloper has also changed the path as well to be more secure from people .
