Default Sending emails from a server

I wish to send bulk emails to 100-110 clients as a one off christmas batch from my VPS server. The problem is this: The client has a domain name on a different server. He wants to use the domain name for the FROM address. To prevent emails going straight to their junk folders, I will need to have the domain name registered on my server somehow (unclear as to this part) so that the FROM address contains a valid email address hosted on my server.

Let's say the email address will be xmas@blah.co.uk.

In the past, the client has dealt with someone else and roughly described these steps:

1. Agree on a mail server name e.g. mail14.blah.co.uk
2. Client amends DNS service for the domain blah.co.uk and add an 'A' record for 'mail14' to point to the IP address (my VPS server with webhosting.uk.com).
3. Then client has to amend DNS service for the domain blah.co.uk and add a TXT SPF record suitable to allow and include the IP address.

Does this make sense to anybody? Can it be done? And what exactly do I need to do on the server for this to work?

Any help very welcome!!

Hi,

This can be done. You will need to point an A record as you mentioned, if the remote server uses cPanel this can be done easier than normal, however support team can assist you with setting this up

Is it really worth it for 100 emails? You could do it manually in an afternoon.
