You can follow the strategies mentioned below for promoting your online shop:
  • In case of an online shop, you must create and maintain a good presence on the social networking websites. It will take some time to develop a good network, however once the network is established, you can update about the latest offers and product information. Create fan pages on Facebook and Twitter.
  • Another very important strategy is to create Squidoo lenses with complete information of your products. You can create different Squidoo lenses for all your products and link them together.
  • You can also create videos about your products and submit such videos to the social networking websites
  • Create informative blogs about your products and online store and submit them to websites like blogger and WordPress. Make sure to use good keywords in the blogs. Enable the comments so that people can voice their opinions. Keep submitting new blogs regularly.
  • Bookmark your blogs in various social bookmarking websites for getting maximum exposure.
  • Create newsletters about your store.
  • Upload your product photos to websites like Flickr and BubbleShare; also make sure to tag the photos.
  • You can ask your customers to give reviews about your products and post them in the review websites.
  • Start online contests for your products on the social networking websites.

What type of a shop is it? Like what all products have you added on it? More information would help us to suggest you in a better way.

I would suggest that you can have banner ads on the technology websites. Banner ads would enable you to have better traffic to your website.
