What is Black hat SEO?
Hello
I want to know what is Black hat SEO after all? I have been following some search engine optimization strategies for a long time now ans I make sure to implement the most genuine techniques listed on Google. Usual stuff like title tag, the Links the meta description is used. Can someone explain what Black hat SEO is? And how is it different from White hat SEO?
Thanks in advance

Black Hat search engine optimization is customarily defined as techniques that are used to get higher search rankings in an unethical manner.breaks search engine rules & regulations
creates a poor user experience directly because of the black hat SEO techniques utilized on the Web-site .unethically presents content in a different visual or non-visual way to search engine spiders & search engine users.

Blackhat SEO techniques are basically the SEO techniques which are used to get good rankings on the internet within a short time. These techniques include various tactics to gain good rankings soon but as soon as the search engine bots discover that blackhat techniques have been used to bring the website on good position, the site is mostly removed from the search engine or banned.

Hidden links, Stuffing of Keywords, Link Farming, irrelevant comments on blogs/forums etc. are a few Blackhat SEO techniques. These techniques are not considered to be good for websites and hence are called as Blackhat techniques.

Yes, as said above, Blackhat SEO is a good way of getting your website banned by Google and other search engine. Putting irrelevant keywords on your website, hidden or visible, is another Blackhat technique.

Anything that might qualify as tricking someone into visiting your website would quality as black hat search engine optimization. Avoid it like the plague. Use your good judgment and if it doesn't seem cricket, don't do it.

A website design that respects its visitors is very unlikely to have any problem with black hat SEO issues. Link exchanges might be a problem although I don't think they are, or should be, considered black hat SEO at all. However, Google doesn't like anything other than natural link exchanges. For instance, if your site had 20 outbound links and all 20 links were incoming links to your site, your site would probably be penalized.

Checking Google policy and guidelines regarding this is a good way of learning what black hat SEO is. Read them thoroughly; anything against the policy and guidelines can be considered black hat SEO.

I agree that black hat SEO is an unethical method of getting your website higher ranked by search engines, but it is not necessarily illegal. It is perfectly legal to keyword stuff your own website.

I was reading Google's Webmaster Guidelines yesterday and they don't seem to differentiate much between link exchanges and link farms. Link farms might be more numerous, but they see any artificial exchange of links as worthless. I got the impression there might be a search engine penalty if it was too systematic.

That's right, but such results are not permanent, you may enjoy short term ranking benefits but certainly you will have to face adverse effects once you get caught.

Black hat SEO will not provide you with good results. There are many adverse effects of black hat SEO, first of all it breaks the rules and regulations of the search engines, therefore it is not possible to secure a good ranking for a long time. As some of the black hat SEO techniques are directly implemented on the website, it also creates a bad user experience.
