I think it is good. I have around 5K users in my mailing list. Though my conversion rate for different products is not good, only 1% but still I get 50 sells a month which is worth

Email marketing could be one of the most appropriate way of marketing if done it correctly.The second important thing is how good is your mail list, is the marketing list consist of only tecky, or young guys this all matter a lot when you are working on email promotion. It is important to target the right audience.. But once the customers get the trust in a particular company, they always stick to it rather than looking for different companies.. personally I do not go through any offer/promo emails. But if you say you get good sells then keep the work going

Email marketing is what the gurus use, but they may not use SEO.

I have found many expert made thousands dollars by sending a few emails.

Email marketing is long term, recycle traffic, which is more reliable than changing SEO game and with email marketing we can build trust with visitors that result in better conversion.

Email marketing has nothing to do with SEO.This is a separate thing and can give you better results than any other technique of traffic.but you will need a well organized data.

Email Marketing is good, but I think you should only send them to subscribed users. Others might just land you into spam troubles and honestly the conversion ratio is not really much.

I would only prefer sending emails to my subscribed members /registered members or customers. No body wants spam in their mailbox!! It is good when it comes to announcements, promotions and any changes in your existing system. When we received promotional emails from e-commerce based sites, we would be excited to grab their offers.
