Default Link Indexing by Search Engines

Hi,

Have you ever noticed, for your site, links indexed by google are very few compared to Yahoo and other search engines? I will surely like to know the reason behind this.

Just to explain a bit more consider this example…
If a site has total 100 links then search engine indexes...
Google 2%
Yahoo 45%
MSN 12%
AllOthers 30%

Is there any calculation behind link indexing or just google’s acts differently?

That's the greatest mystery. No one has understood the strategies used by search engines, especially Google.Search engines keep on changing their algorithms.Different search engines have different approaches towards indexing. This is one reason for such differences that are seen in the above example.Algorithms used by search engines make them function distinctively.
