Question What do you think about MSN's conversion rate?

I have heard from many that MSN conversion is lot better than google, yahoo and other search engines.

But this is well known that google brings much more traffic than any other search engine.

Is it that google is good in searching and MSN! and Y! are the best for conversion rates.

How will you decide, which one will be the most beneficial for your online business?

I personally feel that the traffic you get on your site from Google is much more targeted as compared to the traffic you get from Yahoo and MSN which means chances of higher coversions than MSN and Yahoo. Google is better at determining the true intent of a query and trying to match that instead of doing direct text matching.

Today Google rules the world. It is the most popular search engine today.

I think, though MSN have better conversion rate than Google as you said but as far as traffic is considered the only answer is Google.

You should also know that : today most of the webmasters are running after getting traffic, as great traffic means great business, though it may not instant, but definite.

Results of Google are much appreciated as it scrutinizes all sites for particular search term and displays most perfect results. Netuser rely more on Google than MSN/Yahoo.

Conversion rate provides you the number of buyers out of the total visitors that visited your site.

Conversion rate = number of buyers / total visitors x 100

So if you have about 50000 visitors in the month and out of that, 1000 bought your product then your conversion rate is 2%.
Calculation goes like this: 1000 / 50000 x 100 = 2.0%

This gives you an idea that out of 400 visitors 8 will convert into buyers/customers.

So it would be wise act to work on the conversion rate, besides optimization for heavy traffic, for a good prosperous business.
