Default Keyword Density

I read a lot about keyword density, is it really nessecary to 'force' in the keywords into all my pages? Seems that may make it read bad.

Keyword density is the percentage of total number of words on a particular page. Generally a keyword density of 2 to 5% is optimum. It is also a good idea to include the keyword within the title as most search engines consider a keyword title more relevant. However, be careful with the use of your keywords since the search engines will penalize you if you overuse it.

Keyword density needs to be properly balanced as perfect keyword density will help your site gain higher search engine rankings. Low density won't get the desired results, higher density will be considered keyword spamming.

Your Web page must have keyword rich content. But, the keywords must be used only wherever relevant. Google hates keyword sacking and keyword stuffing. As Peter has rightly said, search engines can penalize your Web site for excessive use of keywords.
