Google's recently registered a new domain, searchmash.com is live. Apparently, it's using Google's data.

Google have already been experimenting with adding pictures to the SERPs, but you'll see a lot more in searchmash.

Ryan, thats looks good but just wondering why google has not mentioned anywhere their brand name?

Well the reason why Google has not mentioned their brand name anywhere is not known, but the site's privacy policy claims that “SearchMash" is a website operated by Google Inc.

Google have registered domains before for apps that they have in early beta. This definitely seems to be Google although there is a pre-existing app called searchmash which doesn't appear to be linked to this one.

Maybe it's a handy way for Google to live test new search features which may then get absorbed into their main interface.
