Default Google-bot Cache Dating Change

Google have changed the way they record the cache date for your site. Previoulsy they only changed the cache date if the page had been modified. So even if the spider had just visited your site the cache might be dated for some time before, this made it tricky to know when your page was last indexed.

Now the cache date will show the date of the bots last visit irrespective of any changes to the page. This means that yuo can now check the cache for your site and find out when Google last indexed you.

That means the cache date might be reflected quite a bit older if the page hadn't changed/updated since googlebot previous visit.

Not any more Paul - now it should show the date of the last visit.
