Default Banned domain name

Hello all,

The other day I found a very good .com domain but the problem is the previous owner had handled errant business (cheat, scam) on that domain and is banned by google. My question, is it worth to purchase such a domain name?

After purchasing that domain, will google unban it?

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

You need to take another point into consideration i.e what you intend to do with that domain. First of all re-inclusion in Google is not very easy, secondly if you plan to develop a site on that domain for your own business the previous owner's scam and cheating using those domains might have an effect on your site and to some extent your business.

Yep my thoughts exactly.
You don't want to be inadvertantly associated with the former scam site. Anyone doing a web search on the name to 'try before they buy' will no doubt come across forum threads slagging it off as a scam. That means lost business for you through no fault of your own.

Is the domain name really that important to have?
Can you register a slight variation on it instead?

Thats good point, you can register with slight varriation if particular banned domain has fascinated and appealed you that much rather than buying banned domain name with bad past history.

If the domain name is completely banned then it may take 2 - 3 years for the domain name to reappear in google once again. If you can put the domain name ( complete domain name ) in google search box and if that shows the listing ( single listing ) then you should have no problem in taking that domain name. If you dont see it then forget it as the domain name has been sandboxed.
