harry - are you being sarcastic? It is difficult to tell. I don't know if this link is something I should look at or steer clear of. If this is a spam link I might be tempted to look after seeing your post. Surely as a moderator you could be a little clearer........

PR checking tools are something which make SEO geeks crazy. I personally don't bother about PR but some people consider it as a Prestige for their website.

Our PR is a good selling point for us as very few hosting companies have PR8 websites but there's no other advantage of high pagerank.

This tool (livepr.info/internalpagespr.php) gives us list of PR of all pages of our site rather then just for homepage; this helps SEO's to compare pages which are performing well for PR and which don't so that they can work on them.

I think you are not aware of term PR Having a site with high PR was a prestigious point for a siteowner; as we have

I agree with you people the PR is a prestigious thing it build a sort of trust but it is not going to help you a lot for sales converstion unless you attempt another PR that is Public Relations and extend with your effective marketing strategies consistent to your growth.

You have COMPLETELY lost me. PR SEO PR8 ???

All I wanted to know was if Harry was being truthful that the link was useful as the ......... after his post makes it seem like he is being sarcastic (which then makes it the opposite of what he is saying). Or is ........... yet another 'forumism' that I don't know yet?

There are so many 'members' on here just posting c**p to get a free domain it is difficult to tell. We should be able to rely on Moderators to steer us away (or to) any helpful 'members'.

Free Domain contest has been closed now and James has initiated a new contest for existing customers only. There should not be any further crap in the forum

Thats completely his view. He thought that the link was helpful for him but that didn't make much sense to me as I don't give much importance to PageRank.

He likes SEO related stuff and you like things related to your profession. Everyone has their choice and our forum has members from various professions, thats why it makes some threads quite entertaining for me and others like other topics.

I am not trying to defend anyone but we cannot stop anyone from expressing their views as long as those are genuine.

Thats entirely my point !!! I don't know if he was being serious and thought the link was good or if he was being sarcastic.

The ........ after the post made it seem like he was being sarcastic.

I know all posts are not relevant to me but I would like to be able to follow the posts - you never know they may even turn out to be relevant to me when I know what they mean.

Which is why I said

It all depends on you how you take those dots(.......) I would have used some popular abbrevations like F*** or s**t if the tool was of no use

and the site is hosted on vps at webhosting.uk.com

The tool is not important from SEO point of view ,The tool helps link buyers to differentiate between the good and bad sites!

I'm not exactly a newbie - I have had websites for over 7 years - I just am used to normal English not abbreviations. Especially abbreviations that mean two or more things as noted in one of the posts PR=Public Relations !!
