I've been to so many Web hosting providers and I am completely overwhelmed but end up disappointed. I have no clue what company to go with. Can you please help me what all points makes the hosting company perfect and the features I should be looking for in a good hosting service provider?

I am sorry for such lengthy question. But its a question of my hard earned money and because of my experience with my last hosting providers and their support.

Technical assistance
Uptime guarantee
reputation of the company
Backup provided
location of servers
