Default Is Unlimited bandwidth a truth?

Hi guys i am confused about unlimited bandwidth. Does it really exist? You know there are many companies who claim to provide Unlimited Bandwidth but I think its not possible because server memory, networking hardware and disk storage are physically limited. What do you say?

"Unlimited" does not exists in the Hosting world. The resources like Disk space and Bandwidth are the Backbones of the Hosting service providers and it's not possible to offer unlimited resources on any of the hosting plans. You can consider a hosting plan which offers limited amount of resources and easily upgrade the hosting plan as your website grows big.

There is nothing called as “Unlimited resources” as far as Hosting is concerned. None of the Hosting provider can offer you Unlimited resources on any Hosting plan. If the plan advertised shows Unlimited bandwidth, the hosting provider must have kept very low port speed for that. So this will definitely hamper your websites loading speed and you will not be able to use more bandwidth. So in a certain way he restricts you from using more bandwidth by providing you with slow port speed.

yes i too agree with the aspect which covered by kerian, i too feel the same way that there is nothing like unlimited resources. See if we think the other way round, if a hosting provider can provide you with unlimited resources how could he manages for other client the hosting provider had.

There are many other hidden facts that the website owner doesn't have a clear idea. In those area's the hosting provider take full advantage from the clients.

In simple words, Webhost who promise to offer UNLIMITED bandwidth/webspace are just overselling their services. Practically it's not possible for any host to offer & manage such accounts. It's just a false marketing

There is nothing like unlimited bandwidth. If any web hosting company promises that to you, that is not really possible. In realistic terms, you must select a web hosting plan that fulfills your bandwidth requirements.

It has been noticed that the hosting providers who claim to offer unlimited bandwidth with their hosting plans actually allocate a limited amount of bandwidth and other resources to a Dedicated Server and setup many accounts on the same server.

Due to this reason, all the resources of the Dedicated Server are distributed among the packages created on the same server. After a certain period of time when the number of packages created are more than what the server can handle, there is a lack in performance and most of the websites do not get enough resources. Therefore, it's always a good option to choose a hosting plan with limited resources.

Many web hosts claim to offer unlimited space and bandwidth. The TRUTH is this promise is impossible to deliver. The reason is quite simple that server harddrive have limited space which can be shared among users hence it's not possible to offer unlimited web space.

It hasn't been a long time since some of the hosting providers have claimed to offer unlimited bandwidth with the hosting plans. They have started this just to attract customers as if this would have been possible in the hosting industry, plans with limited bandwidth wouldn't have been introduced and hosting providers would claim to offer unlimited bandwidth ever since the web hosting industry started.

Providing unlimited bandwidth is a myth. Its just a way to obtain more customers, and to survive in this super-competitive industry. Its a marketing trick, to get more and more customers to sign up to their services. They have some catch with their offering. You can opt for an unmetered bandwidth, but not umlimited.

Exactly. Unmetered bandwidth is the correct term. It's possible to offer unmetered bandwidth with our Dedicated Servers. Unmetered Bandwidth means that the dedicated server has part or all of a dedicated connection, however, Unmetered does not mean infinite or unlimited.
