Need help deciding on hosting plan.
Hello there,
I am currently running a wordpress site that gets around 250K pageviews and 200Gb transfer per month. I am confused between Virtual Private servers, Managed Dedicated servers and UK Cloud server. I am currently on share hosting with XXXXX hosting. I am looking for hosting option that will make it very easy to expand as traffic grows. There's a cost difference in the range of these options. Can you help me narrow down to what I need?

Hello and ,
You could easily start with a UK based Virtual Private Server or Cheap Cloud Server. Cloud Servers don't really cost more if you see. They offer you 100% uptime and you're able to upgrade resources as and when you want. For now you can start with the resources you need and then scale up as required with cloud servers. With VPS, you upgrade to the next higher plan.

I think you can use a Managed Cloud hosting solution. Since you are upgrading from a Cheap Shared Hosting plan and you site has outgrown the shared environment. Sooner or later you are going to need sufficient resources. So Cloud should be an ideal solution.
By the way do you have a budget per month?

Thank you for the replies.
I'm looking for the best option for the lowest price. It depends what is included, manage services, OS cost, control panel cost, resources with the server and customer service.
In generally I am wondering is the redundancy with cloud worth the extra money as compared to VPS plans?

Yes cloud is worth the extra cost. More and more users now prefer our Cheap Cloud servers. It offers reliability in the form of 100% uptime. You can easily upgrade resources so it is highly scalable. From your requirements, it looks like your site needs good RAM and CPU. I think it will need 1 GB RAM to start with. What OS is it ?

A UK based Cloud server will be a good option to go with. As you receive 250K pageviews a month, so you will need a hosting plan which will always keep your website up and running. The Cloud environment will provide a 100% uptime, so that your website will be always up and running. Cloud server will offer you a Dedicated amount of RAM and CPU shared which will help in better performance of your website. If needed they can even be increased, as Cloud servers are highly scalable. So overall a Cloud server would be a Ideal option to host your website.

Cent OS is a open source, so there are no additional charges of the OS. Control panel is a addon to the server, so there might be additional charges for control panel. Someone from the sales team might confirm the charges.

Cent OS is a open source, so that can installed on your server for free. Control panel is not provided with the server, you will need to pay additional charges to use a control panel with the server. The charges of cPanel/WHM on a Cloud server is £5/month additional to the server's cost. The resources that are mentioned on the main page of our Cloud hosting plans will be the resources offered and they will be dedicated to your account only. Additional resources can also be added to your account as Cloud servers are highly scalable. We offer Fully Managed Cloud servers with Free Technical Support 24x7 via Email, live chat and Phone Support. So you can contact our system admins and get your issue sorted.

Thanks some more questions:
Who provides, installs and manages SSL for my website?
What happens if I need to restore my website from a backup that exists on my server. Do I need to do it myself?
I assume I will need to transfer the domain name as well?
Thanks for now

Here are the answers:

We will do that upon request from you. You can order a SSL from our website.
What happens if I need to restore my website from a backup that exists on my server. Do I need to do it myself?
You can ask the techs to restore the data for you for your website.
I assume I will need to transfer the domain name as well?
You can keep the domain with the current registrar or transfer over to use, either is just fine.

Could you provide me more information on the SSL you provide?

I have come up with some more questions
How do I go about migrating the data on to the new server? Do you provide with any tool or assist me with this at a charge ?
I will need a IP with the SSL I assume? What will extra cost for it ?

Are you running any control panel with the current host? If yes, do you know the name of the control panel?

Yes, an IP will be included with the SSL if you purchase the SSL from us.
